FORMATION OF ROYAL ARCH CHAPTER No.89 BALLYCASTLE.
This Chapter of Royal Arch Chapter was formed by Freemasons from Ballycastle and District in 1914 and still sits in Ballycastle Masonic Hall. The earliest records in Ireland of Royal Arch Freemasonry date back to 1735 in connection with Vernon Lodge, Coleraine, Co. Londonderry, a short distance from Ballycastle.
