THE MASONIC CHARITIES
A common theme which runs throughout all disciplines of Freemasonry is that of charity. With collections being taken at every meeting and special fundraising events being organised, Freemasons raise a considerable amount of money every year for both internal and external charities.
The Ballycastle Lodges are no exception with moneys being donated to several different charities every year. These include:
The Victoria Jubilee Masonic Annuity Fund
The Belfast Widows Fund
The Masonic Charities Fund
The Joseph Kamal Fund.
The proceeds of these funds give financial aid to the widows and orphans of Freemasons and provide a fund which gives aid to students up to university graduate level.
The Ballycastle Freemasons also support Diabetes U.K. and the Alzheimer's Carers Society.
